Your data, our orbit. Here's exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and how to control it.
Data we collect
Account data (email, callsign, country, age confirmation), gameplay activity (spins, missions completed, leaderboard position), device data (browser, operating system, IP address) and chat messages. We do not collect payment data because there's nothing to buy.
How we use it
To run your account, sync stardust across devices, prevent fraud and abuse, personalize daily missions, improve gameplay, send transactional emails (e.g., password reset) and — only with your consent — newsletters.
Legal basis (GDPR)
We process data under contract (running your account), legitimate interest (fraud prevention, analytics) and consent (marketing emails, optional cookies). You can withdraw consent at any time.
Sharing
We never sell your data. We share with: (a) hosting providers (Cloudflare, AWS) under strict DPAs, (b) email infrastructure (Postmark) for transactional messages, (c) law enforcement when legally required.
Cookies & tracking
Essential cookies keep you logged in. Optional analytics cookies help us understand which planets are most loved. You control these via the cookie banner or your account settings.
Data retention
Active accounts keep data indefinitely. Inactive accounts (no login for 24 months) are anonymized automatically. Chat logs are kept for 90 days for moderation purposes.
Your rights
You can request a data export, deletion, correction or restriction at any time by emailing [email protected]. We respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
International transfers
Our servers are in the EU. Where data is transferred outside the EU (e.g., to certain support tools), we use Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
Children
Gagarin Games is strictly 21+. If you believe a minor has provided us with data, contact [email protected] and we will delete it within 24 hours.
